The priceless of GOLD?
Firstly, you might think this is a pure gold between rocks before mining. The answer is wrong. This mineral is not a gold but very similar to GOLD. That is why the word "fool's gold" is there. These mineral exactly look like a shiny and precious metal gold but is not. What the heck is this thing?
This mineral is called Iron Pyrites, or scientifically known as Iron Sulphide (FeS2). It has a same gold colour and physically alike. The other name for this mineral is "Nordic Gold" or "Fools Gold". This mineral can fool you if you have no knowledge about GOLD. How to differentiate these two minerals?
- Streak of mineral is different. Streak is refers to the color of a mineral's powder. It can be tested by rubbing the mineral on the hard white porcelain surface. Gold streak is in yellowish colour while "fools gold" is in black.
- The hardness of material. Gold has a hardness of 2 1/2 to 3 refer to "Mohs scale". The hardness is as same as a human's finger nail. However fools gold has a hardness of 6 to 6 1/2 which mean as hard as a typical knife blade
Note: Mohs scale is the measurement that use to categorize type of minerals through hardness. The lowest Mohs scale is 0 known as liquid and the highest is diamond 10.
The piracy of gold and silver is everywhere as people are start seeing as a potential in investment. Hopefully, these simple knowledge may contribute to the society as well as awareness. Collector should concern these before selling to others.

Silver – the next stop of investment
Gold as we concern are stronger as the price increasing drastically. The industry of gold basically is focusing more on jewelry, electricity, motherboard and some component in technology part. The demand of gold are quite outnumber which make the price even higher. However, silver are seen to be the next BOOM in the market. Why the silver makes people more interest than gold?
As we all realize, silver material are used a lot in industry. In 1900 there were 12 billion ounces of silver in the world. But today, the figure has decrease to 1 billion ounces in above ground refined silver. This is happen due to high demand of silver in industry such as global photography, technology, medical, defense and electronics industries. Do you realize that most of our gadget such as mobile phone, camera, laptop, mp3 device, PC component is part of silver material?
The price of silver is at less than $17/oz today. Meanwhile in 1979 and 1980, the actual silver price increase to $21.80/oz and $16.39/oz. In today's USD dollars and adjusted for inflation which may contribute to an inflation adjusted average price to $60/oz and $44/oz in 1979 and 1980. As a result, silver will be one of the commodities item that people seek for the next stop of investment. Better start than never :)

The powerless of money

Why these paper note are no valid? Because it was created by the government or rulers during that time which are falling due to war, invasion, bankruptcy etc. People are suffering because they do not have something value to buy food and necessities. Can this tragedy happen to our time as well? It could be happen in any time. As a result, the notes are becoming as same as "toilet paper" because the values are not valid.
Some of the country are facing the situation of hyper-inflation. The example of country that suffering are the state of Zimbabwe. Their money becoming less and less value. For instance, RM10 note are equal value to 10 cents. The government of Zimbabwe cannot do anything, the only way they have is to copy out more notes to save the states. But is this the best solution? There is no other way unless the state have their own reservation such as gold, silver, oil etc.

The Zimbabwe currency value for 1 note of 10 US dollars

You need piles of note if having a dinner or lunch in a restaurant
Dinar is a standard measure value of unit that used for trading, buying, selling and so forth. 1 Dinar is equal to 4.25 grams of weight and the purity of 916. 1 Dinar can bought a normal size of goat during the time of prophet Muhammad. Until now, 1 Dinar is also a same price of 1 normal goat. The price of 1 dinar according to the price of spot gold now is RM592. The value of gold are still on the same track over centuries. If u keep your note RM600 in a bank, do you think you can still afford to buy a goat for the next 10 years?
